This policy explains in simple terms what data we collect at Agento, why we need it, and how we protect it. Our goal is to use only the absolutely essential information needed to run the booking service and your app, without unnecessary tracking or advertising.
What data we collect
We only collect the basic contact details you provide us:
- Name
- Phone number
We do not collect device identifiers (device IDs), IP addresses, precise location, crash logs, diagnostics, or usage data for analytics purposes.
Why we collect it
- To create and identify your account
- To provide booking features and the core functionality of the app
- To offer support and send functional messages (e.g., appointment reminders)
- To protect account and service security
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, cross-app tracking, or selling to third parties.
Where the data comes from
- From the information you provide during registration or while using the service
- From Sign-in with Google, when you use it to log in or create an account
- From the phone number you provide for your account and notifications
Push notifications
We send notifications only for functional purposes, such as booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and account messages. If you do not want notifications, you can disable them at any time from your device settings.
Third-party providers (processors)
We use the following services to operate the product:
- Firebase Authentication for login
- Cloud Firestore for database
- Firebase Storage for files
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- Firebase Crashlytics & Firebase Analytics are present in the stack but configured to not collect crash logs, diagnostics, or per-user usage analytics
The above providers process data only on our behalf, exclusively for the operation of the service. They are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing.
Data sharing & selling
We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes. We share data only with the above processors for service operation or when required by law.
Retention period
We retain personal data for up to 24 months from the last active use or less, if you request earlier deletion, unless a longer period is required by law or for dispute resolution.
Security
We rely on Firebase security features, such as:
- Encryption in transit (TLS)
- Encryption at rest by the platform
- Limited access only to authorized personnel for operational and support purposes
No system is 100% secure, but we implement reasonable security practices in accordance with industry standards.
Your rights
Depending on your country of residence, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data, as well as to restrict or object to certain forms of processing. You can make a request by sending an email to skaftanis@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The service is not directed at children below the age defined by applicable law for independent online consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us so we can delete it.
International transfers
Your data may be processed by the above providers in countries outside your own. We rely on their standard security safeguards to protect the data during transfer.
Changes to the policy
If we make significant changes to the policy, we will update this page and, where applicable, notify you within the app as well.
